FAQs

Q?I am concerned about the cost of calling out an Engineer, what if the problem takes hours and hours to resolve?
A.

Don’t worry, you can obtain a fixed price repair or estimate beforehand to give you an idea of the cost. If we run into any unusual or challenging problems, we will make you aware of these early on in the appointment and provide a variety of options on the repair.

Q?Do you have a shop, I would like to drop off my computer for repair?
A.

We don’t have a shop, ITPeople specialise in onsite repairs and IT Support. If you prefer not to arrange a home/office visit, in some cases we can arrange a free collect and return service or arrange for you to drop off your equipment with one of our Engineers.

Q?Do you also sell computer accessories like laptop chargers and printer cartridges?
A.

We don’t sell or stock computer parts or accessories separately and only supply these in conjunction with repairs and upgrades.

Q?What if a problem returns after the Engineer leaves, initially everything was fine!
A.

Not to worry, our aim is to provide a quality service and if a recurring problem occurs within 14 days of the original visit, your Engineer will be on hand to help.

Q?Do you also cover London and Birmingham areas?
A.

We don’t offer an onsite service for London or Birmingham as we only operate in Greater Manchester and Cheshire. We may be able to provide you with remote support though.

Q?Do you repair Mac logic boards and screens?
A.

Unfortunately due to the high cost and availability of Apple Mac logic boards we don’t offer this as a service (even if you supply the part). We also don’t replace Mac, iPad or iPhone screens.

Q?I am concerned about letting an Engineer into my home and accessing my computer
A.

Our Engineers are CRB or DBS checked (with basic disclosure) and can produce a certificate on request. They also use the utmost discretion and professionalism when it comes to accessing customer data.

Q?I’m not really sure whether it’s worth repairing my old computer, is the cost going to be justified?
A.

We will always advise you honestly on the feasibility of costly hardware repairs before carrying out any major works.
